Where Every Child Belongs
At The Farmhouse Early Learning and Development Center, we celebrate each child’s unique journey with inclusive, play-based learning and a home-away-from-home atmosphere designed to nurture growth, curiosity, and confidence.
Rooted in over 20 years of experience, The Farmhouse was founded with a vision to offer more than just childcare. We’re a place where children of all abilities are welcomed, families are supported, and learning happens through joy, exploration, and meaningful relationships.
Welcome to the Farmhouse
Founded by longtime childcare provider Molly Robinson, The Farmhouse Early Learning and Development Center was created in response to a growing need for high-quality, inclusive care in McLean County. Our beautiful, farmhouse-inspired facility is designed to feel like home—offering both comfort and excellence in early childhood education. With mixed-age classrooms, dedicated developmental support spaces, and a warm, community-centered approach, The Farmhouse is a place where children and families grow together.
Care By Age Range

Infants
6 weeks to 18 months
Our infant classroom provides individualized care and attention to each infant’s on-demand schedule. Two teachers, along with an assistant, work with a group of up to eight children in each classroom. Our teachers coordinate activities using our uniquely designed curriculum for infants from birth to 18 months and see every interaction as an opportunity for growth. We balance nurturing care with the use of specialized sensory tools and toys that invite them to explore and discover their environment designed to foster their development.
Our nationally recognized curriculum features a new theme with 36 play-based activities that help build 35 foundational skills connected to emotional, language, physical, and cognitive development.

Toddlers
19 months to 35 months
In our toddler classroom, students engage in daily routines and activities through hands-on learning. Two teachers, along with an assistant, provide daily activities using our nationally recognized play-based curriculum which helps naturally build friendship skills, encourages problem-solving and creative thinking while supporting their social-emotional, physical, language, literacy, math, science, social studies, and creative development.

Mixed Age Preschool
3, 4, and 5 years
In our preschool classrooms, Two teachers and an assistant provide many outlets for creative expression throughout the day! Our students reap the benefits of a mixed-age group. Letting our children experience rich, mixed-aged play is powerful, and essential for them in their early years, while being one of the most valuable gifts we can give them. Older children will have the opportunity to serve as mentors and take leadership roles. They model more sophisticated approaches to problem solving, helping younger children to accomplish tasks they would not be able to do independently. This dynamic increases the older child’s level of independence and competence while increasing the younger child’s spirit of belonging in a community of learners. With our state accredited curriculum our students become confident individuals, naturally build foundational social and emotional, physical, language and literacy, math, science, social studies and creative development through purposeful play and discovery.
